They've (Suzi and band) made some great tracks over the years but never really managed a complete classic album, so, for me, compilation is solution - Highly recommended

Suzi Quatro is an American rock performer and singer-songwriter who is widely known as the first female bass player to become a major rock star. Curiously, the land where she first found stardom was her adopted home, Great Britain. In 1971, she moved to London, recruited the band to back her, and met up with songwriters-producers Mike Chapman and Nicky Chinn. That happened to be the key to a real treasure chest of singles that sold like hot cakes. In the period of 1973-1979, Suzi Quatro made 15 Top-60 singles in the UK (let alone continental Europe, Australia, and United States). And all of these blockbusters, except of the cover of Elvis’ “All Shook Up”, were written and produced by the Chapman-Chinn duo. Except of a popular tune “Stumblin’ In” (recorded in duo with Chris Norman), all these hits – beginning from the first ever Suzi’s singles “Can the Can”, “48 Crash”, and “Daytona Demon” (all of 1973) and up to her final single of the decade “She’s in Love with You” – together with other cool songs from 1972-1979 are featured on the 2015’s 2CD-compilation “The Very Best” from Union Square Music (UK). 36 tunes in total, clocking in at over 130 minutes are presented here in no particular chronological order. But this compilation seems to have a vision behind it as each of two discs is closed with a pair of live tracks of 2013: there are Elvis’ “Heartbreak Hotel”/ Richard Penniman’s “Keep A Knockin’” on Disc 1, and Steve Harley’ “Make Me Smile”/ Sweeney Todd’s “Roxy Roller” on Disc 2. The release comes in 6-panel digipak with 8-page booklet containing liner notes by Joseph Adair. So, if you knew Suzi, and still enjoy her bubblegum Glam Rock, not without boogie Hard-Rock fleur in early years – this well-remastered compilation is for you.
