Description:Against the backdrop of the inexorability of climate change, 'Snapshots' explores the errors of a period that in some ways evokes the end of the Roman Empire, in others the end of the 1930s, if not sometimes even the end of the age of the dinosaurs... Far from playing the role of a preacher, oracle of the apocalypse, or desperate whiner, the composer offers a bitter and disillusioned assessment of this evolution, as well as his own powerlessness and that of society as a whole. With the help of Sanseverino for the sung version of 'My Little Sweet NZ Bunker,' and his older brother Thomas de Pourquery (on saxophone) for the instrumental version, Zimmermann adds to his two impulsive and incandescent 'wild beasts,' Julien Charlet and Pierre Durand, the pop bassist Élise Blanchard, a sign of his desire to make a record above all focused on compositions, with a sound and production that give pride of place to rough edges. -
