Description:Born in New Orleans and growing up in the south, Jeff Duncan had slide playing blues in his soul from an early age. Feeding the gypsy spirit, Jeff later traveled throughout the western United States playing venues as a solo songwriter and guitarist in a variety of bands eventually settling in the Colorado Rockies for several years where his music was inspired by the beauty of the mountains. Missing the smell of salt air, Jeff decided to fulfill his lifelong dream and built a 32 foot trimaran sailboat high in the Rockies- far from the ocean. The great flood never came and California never fell in the ocean, so with help from friends, Jeff moved the boat to the Sea of Cortez in Mexico where his cruising life began. This tempered his musical style and song writing dramatically. Years later with a newer and more able boat, Jeff sang and sailed throughout the Western Caribbean and Central America eventually landing on the Pacific side of Costa Rica after a passage through the Panama Canal. He fell in love with Costa Rica in the late 90s, bought property above a small bahia escondida, anchored the boat and built a small hotel naming it the "Mango Moon". For many years Jeff and his family lived and ran their hotel, while Jeff played music for the guests, and chartered his sailboat. You can hear Jeff chronicle his travels through the music and lyrics on his new album, "Ride the Wind".
