This was the first Pearl Jam album i bought back in 2001 and i liked the album and the band instantly. After that i discovered all of their albums one by one and became a die-hard fan. Tchad Blake , the producer, used binaural microphones to catch the atmosphere in the studio. Some of the songs are really haunting, like the first single "Nothing As It Seems" with the amazing guitar work by Mike McCready, "Sleight of Hand" with one of the darkest lyrics in a PJ song or the end of the album, the beautiful and sad ballad "Parting Ways". This unique collection of songs form a clasic Pearl Jam album that that will grow on you with each new listen.
